Windows 10 Help

If you are having trouble running Loadout under Windows 10, here are some possible fixes that may help:

1) Install latest graphics drivers and Windows Updates. And any other driver that could be used by Loadout (network, audio, keyboard, mouse, etc.)

2) If you have an Alienware computer, install the latest AlienFX/LightFX drivers.

3) Go to your Steam Library, right-click on Loadout, select Properties, Set Launch Options, and try one of these command-line options:
-dx11:0
-windowed

4) If it starts up in a funky state, try pressing Alt-Enter to toggle full screen/windowed mode.

6) Try deleting your Loadout AppData folder:
C:\Users\<Windows Account>\AppData\Local\EdgeOfReality\Loadout

7) Try uninstalling and reinstalling Loadout from Steam. Go to your Steam Library, right-click on Loadout, select Delete Local Content, then right-click again and select Install Game.

8) Try disabling unneeded devices with flaky Windows 10 drivers, if no update is available. For example, an extra network adapter or audio device.

Yes, I know part of the web site is broken, but I don't know how to fix it.

I think that most of the problems have been due to device driver bugs/compatibility issues with Windows 10. Some of them have been fixed with driver updates. It looks like the guy who made this video had an unneeded network adapter with a driver that was flaky under Windows 10. He was able to get Loadout to work by disabling the adapter with the bad driver.

I'll add a note about to the post.

Btw, just to let others know, if none of those above work and your crashing when trying to log in, disable your wifi before you launch it, and once it begins to try to login, enable it again, it seems to usually fix it for me for the three laptops I used that had either windows 8/windows 10.

It only means that the developers - great guys (and girls) !!! Nothing else. But we still hope. Better support from us, play the game and advise her friends. The Russian community there are always new players. It's nice!
