As others have mentioned, it's not as good as the earlier titles but still a good game nonetheless. The 2D exploration feels half-baked. When the game was first show I was hoping there would be some run and hide action like the original Clock Tower or the Coma games. The atmosphere is killer which is largely in part due to the music by Naoaki Jimbo. Hoping this isn't the end of Death Mark!

worst of the 3 IMO, feels like they took their entire monster budget and blew it at the end of the game. other monsters are downright goofy. at first i disliked that it all took place around the school, but at least it branched out a little throughout. the new movement system feels off and underutilized. the extra chapter was downright trash. also the story was unbelievably predictable. i guessed who the departed was before i even finished the first chapter. overall, i still enjoyed it but it left me wishing it was more like the other two. at least the final boss went hard. highest point of the game.
