Simple. What is the most you've paid for a player & what is the most you've received for a player. Who was it & was it worth it?

In: Edinson Cavani - £60m from Napoli
Totally worth it, broke Andy Cole's 34 premier league goals (got 37) in his debut season, scored over 50 goals in all competitions. Has been EPL top scorer 3 seasons running.

Out: Douglas Costa - £37.5m to Real Madrid
Fans hated me for it for a little bit, not sure why, he was infuriatingly inconsistent. Well-worth it, helped to finance my move for Marek Hamsik for £40m, Napoli do good business from me.

I'm in 2024 playing as Swindon so there are very few original players remaining. Neymar Jr. is going to retire soon. That being said...

In: Rogerio Paulo - $315m from Man City (2023)
It sounds like an absurd amount but it is well worth it as he averages about 2 goals a game in the EPL. At age 25 his career goals are already over 200. Flamengo born. Bought him this year and he is joining a world class and award winning lineup so I expect great things to come.

Out: Daniel Ormsby - $45m to Juventus (2019)
The fans were not happy about this sale, though they were happy I had received so much money from it. The initial worries that we had sold a very valuable and sought after player were squashed as some new, great replacements stepped up and became even better.

My most frequent buyer, however, is Linfield. Constantly buying up my youth players year after year. It is quite nice.

In: Sergio Busquets - 98$ + Per Mertesacker from Barcelona (2015)
I know it seems crazy, but I needed a good Defensive Midfielder to replace Ramires, who I sold off to PSG. I wanted someone with expericnce who I know could play well in the backfield. Barca wasn't playing him first team anymore, so i just went ahead and got him. I actually do think I overpayed for him.

Out: David Alaba - 40$ to Manchester United (2017)
I brought in Alaba from Bayern in July of 2013. He had a couple good seasons with me. I decided to sell him off because I needed the money and because I had some decent replacements for him. He is now one of the top players at United.

In - Leon Goretzka for 23 Mil from Bochum

After three seasons of fighting for promotion, finally got it. Board and player sales gave me a good amount of money which I spent on Leon. So far, he's been awful and probably one of the worst buys I have ever made. Will ship him off soon and expect to get a good amount of money for him.

Out - Federico Cassarini for 10 Mil to Juventus

Got him on a free and was integral to my promotion and a great servant ot the club for two years, I was forced to sell him off to fund my chase for Leon.

In: Messi around €250M . United was taken over by some billionaire, i thought, what the hell, i always want to see Messi in United, why not? Not really worth it btw.

Out: Rooney for €50M. I accepted Arsenal's offer after he told me he has won everything he can with the club. I've already got RVP and Henriquez plus quality regens, no biggie.

IN: Mohamed Diame £15.5 M from Norwich

Needed some experience and cover in the midfield to aid the younger players, fitted the bill perfectly.

OUT: Moi Gomez £35 M to Porto

A great player in his own right, but I changed around my formation/system to solely utilise defensive central midfeilders after my 4th season, the problem was this guy was purely an attacking central midfielder, so it was just a case of a player not fitting the system etc.

Still, considering I got him on a free transfer from Villarreal, 35 M profit was not too bad :P
