Robert Pires&Robbie Fowler

In my Carlisle united save at the minute signed Pires and Fowler on free transfers due to them both having not bad stats still.Both of them have underformed badly to say the least.Anybody had any experience of these 2guys in their team(s) at all and how did they get on.Luckily though i only signed them on a 1 year contract.

Not had experience with either of those players, but some of the older players i have signed are just don't perform! I think it's just a case of they're past their prime or they've so much money they don't give a damn.

Yeah its their age/poor physicals. Some players this isn't an issue for as long as they're in the right role/team/league. Physicals tend to rule lower leagues, so depends on which one you're in, but if you just let an old veteran use his outstanding mentals and technicals he can be a good playmaker for you, for example. You probably don't want to match him up against a monster of a midfield destroyer though. All depends on how you manage them

try searching for players with 6 months left on there current contract you have a better chance of getting some quality if they are interested in joining your club.
