What happens after the end of the game...?

I gotta say, I was kind of let down by the ending. After all the build up with the Entity that was attacking, it just kinda gives up and goes away after you get the 3rd part of the 5th page.
I was expecting some major final showdown playing the Symphony of Souls as the song and the Entity being the final boss. Anyone else think that would be a pretty cool idea?
I can understand the leaving it open for a sequel, but they did it in a way that just seems... kind of wrong. What do you guys at Empty Clip Studio think? Was that an ending that was considered?
