3D Vision support
It was a nice surprise to launch the game after a few months and noticing (almost accidentally as the store page doesn't seem to inform you of that yet) it supports controllers now.

I was wondering how feasible it would be to expect stereoscopic 3D support (aka getting this game to be '3D Vision Ready' in the future, as I think that would be a great addition to it.

I did try to make it work, and currently it can only happen if change the game resolution to 1280x720@60Hz, because at full HD it needs to be at 24Hz for 3D to work. I tried to force the refresh rate by adding "/refreshrate=24" in the launcher options (which has worked for other games in the past), but when i launch it at 1080 it reverts to 60Hz, so it doesn't work.

As for my experience at running it at 1280x720@60, it's playable, but there are a lot of objects rendered at wrong depths, and the ship itself gets split, etc, so it makes playing in 3D not ideal currently.

It's a good idea and we've been thinking about things like 3D and Oculus (I know it might not be perfect for it, but still cool), but in the short/medium-term, we are focusing on providing long-requested functionality such as controller and other updates. As far as bootstrapping it, we ARE doing a few "cheats" for performance when we render, so it's very conceivable there might be artifacts when trying to do 3D rendering.

Thanks,

Francois
