Whats in a name?
I have had trouble trying to convince people that this game is awesome. Everyone looks at me funny when I tell them the name. WHY! Why did they call this amazing game, English Country Tune? Part of me feels like they killed any potential it may have for recognition as one of the best puzzle games out there, by dubbing it with such a pointless and completely irrelevant title. What the hell does English, Country, or even Tune have to do with this game? NOTHING! Block Dreamer, Ponderous, Dilemma, Paradox, or even WTF would have been better titles. This game is going to stay well below the radar of most gamers, simply because the name is flat-out stupid, and that’s a pity because this game totally rocks. I suppose it’s possible that the developer had no intentions of this game being hugely popular. Perhaps they only wanted to bring a crazy idea to life, and didn’t expect that too many people would be interested in it, so they gave it a silly name to, if anything, evoke curiosity, which, I must say, is why I looked into it. It may even be possible that only curious people will enjoy this game meaning that it will automatically ward off people who hate these types of games and thus inspire only good reviews. What do my fellow ECT fans think?

i met the guy who made this game :)
I like the name, but I am afraid that it will be "under the radar" because of it.

Well the name actually fits the game well. Those who are open-minded enough to try this game are open minded enough to suceed in this game.
I actually like the name, the game is very abstract so the name is too.
Stephen Labelle isn't known for marketing games well. He's one of the most prolific and creative game developers and almost no one knows about him. My introduction to him was through his free game Mirror Stage, which I recommend you check out.
Will do. Thanks.
I totally agree with you, this name is so bad lol
I actually like the name - though I never heard of it before it was added to the latest humble bundle. What a pleasant surprise! It's nothing short of brilliant, has linux support and I like its visuals a lot. Succeeds in the most difficult task of a puzzle game in my opinion, that is to build from a very simple premise some hard yet completely fair challenges.

My compliments to the developer(s)!
As I'm only a few levels in this game strikes me as being very similar to Sokoban.

It is similar to Sokoban in some aspects at the very beginning, however I think it quickly escalates from there. Every world adds new mechanics and even the gravity mechanic from Larva is enough to seriously differentiate it from Sokoban.
I got this game from Humbe Indie Bundle and i am pretty surprised, this game is really good and I like that it has some community :D
i have the key for this game will i play it NO and why is that cos the name is stupid and the person could not be botherd with a name so if he carn't be botherd then i carn't be botherd playing it
You're missing out. Although from the sound of it; you're probably too stupid to enjoy the game anyhow.
Yeah, I was actually just about to make a post about that this game means. I kind of like the disconnect it has to the gameplay, it hints at the experimental and open-mindedness you have to develop to succeed.

@j4960s... I pray you are a troll, it disturbs me that people may actually be that stupid.
