Also being able to trade them with others. If you get enough macetta stuff would be great to trade them to someone for gem stuff.

Additionally if people can profit from buying Maacetta stuff they don't want/don't need that will probably encourage them to buy more things just to sell. Like TF2 and its Keys

Yeah lets say most paying players needs valles hammer.

So they trade gems for it or a gem item, and boom there you go: Instant economy.
