Fire Renny

I was just wondering how one should play fire renny against each character and any input is welcome and highly appreciated.

In a team game, especially if the other team is grouping, usually staying back and spamming RR (the fire tornado) into the mob is hugely beneficial to your team.

If you get a close range hit with the tornado, don't be afraid to jump in and throw a few blows.
LR-LRR-(while you're still in the air)LLL is the combo I usually go for, and it will pretty much take out anybody squishier than Cezzane.

Against players trying to kite you, Shift+R shortly before they land.

Another combo that is a little more advanced: Shift+R - jump+LLL - alt+R while mid air. you'll be hard to hit when mid air and you might be able to one shot squishy archetypes.

Mainly you will want to wait for your enemy to make a first move, when he does you can most of the time easily counter with a shift+R or you can make things more tricky and try to move in and start the LRR combo. Then again, all this can be useless when you don't do it at the right time. Guess it just takes practice.

The alt + R in the air takes a bit of wind up to hit. Will that interfer with the air juggle or should be fine?

it will be a definite hit. unblockable, except for the initiation.

Since these 2 guys already said the combo's a nice thing to add might be that both renny's have a fast attack speed. Try to find out the time windows in which you can intrupt other peoples combos.

If you block both cez his first LL then you can TP to him while he does the 3th (if you can get behind him). With valle this almost goes the same way. Block the first 2 hits and try to get an attack off. With elika this is a bit trickier, but if you get a bit of feeling for the blocking you can do this. When NOT all bullets hit from the second L elika does you can intrupt the chain. No idea if that last part made any sense, but i'll explain again if needed.

There are more frames that allow you to attack in others their combo just mess around a bit to find out ^_^.

Oh and as edit: Study your opponent a bit before going all out. This goes pretty much for every char, but on the other side almost everybody CAN mess up once and still get out alive. Once renny messes up she is dead atleast 95% of the time.

As Han said. Read your opponent. Personally, I have improved mainly through 1v1 matches with some tips from Han and Slif while playing. If you ever want to drastically improve quickly, that would be the way. Give me a shout if you ever want to 1v1. I would be happy to help! Even as a test dummy =P

Can Renny interrupt Elika's combo? I've tried multiple times and never been successful. I can do it on Valle/the Dwarves all day.

I do know you can Shift+R behind her right as she steps in with her first attack, and if she's already hit LL, she can't do jack about it.

Indeed she can but the elika must stand in a certain way. I normally notice since then from the second L only 1 bullet hits from 3 - 4.

By the second L only 1 bullet hits. Do you mean that while blocking only 1 hit registers?
