Renoah - The Hacker

He/she has become something of a problem again. They were brought to my attention again today & I logged in to verify and sure enough, the griefing has begun again.

So, for now, I'm waiting to host the michigan servers again until I can deal with this. I'm going to be talking to some folks that have done extensive (and soon to be duely rewarded) work in this specific area and so I will see what can be done about preventing this presently as well as in the future.

As we are on the topic, I would also like to mention that should this become possible in the near future, I will also hand out bans to anyone who is caught multiple times blatantly griefing with speedhacks or startfire abuse. Of course, warnings will be given first if at all possilbe & this would be a last resort for serious offenders.

Lastly, as there are multiple ways to skin a cat, as the saying goes, I am also open to any suggestions or ideas others may have regarding how to deal with this individual.

So do you actually have a finished product or are you requesting help? I've looked into it and yes there are possible ways to deal with this.

Personally, I have no such thing created. I can not take any credit whatsoever for any solutions to the problem.

But, I was speaking recently with someone who had a program completed far enough to be able to reliably & accurately record IP addresses of anyone entering the server (the actual public IPs, not the fake ones thrown around by AB). I can use that to loosely block them. Granted, there are ways to circumvent that kind of block, but it lags you to the point it's not worthwhile.

I'm not sure how much he wants to be made public as to how it all works exactly, so I'll let him explain here if he feels the need to, seeing as he put in all the work.

And, I'm totally open to other ways of handling it as well. If you've got any thoughts we can try out, I have windows, mac & soon linux systems available for testing environments. My programming skills are pretty much null, my expertise lies more in web coding such as php, sql, javascript etc. which is entirely different. But, be that as it may, I would gladly help in any way I can do see this through.

We have absolutely no evidence that Renoah waifu was behind any of these attacks! I demand to see the security footage! For all we know it could have been Ridika behind everything and seducing and bewitching Security into pinning the blame on an innocent pure waifu. D:

But...even if Renoah IS a hacker...she would be like 'Trinity' from the Matrix, so she would be one of the good hackers trying to free everyone from mind slavery. I would like to be Neo, but I don't know how to hack a computer security virus or extinguish a firewall motherboard server. ^^;

Well this is the truth, there is nothing you can do with this kind of people. The only way to combat them is to use their own cheats, hoping they stop to annoy us.

I don't condole using cheats in any scenario, and they aren't effective in fixing anything.

Honestly there is no control on the application itself. Which does open doors to the hackers etc.. The only thing you should worry about if a backdoor was ever exploited to the host then we have problems. Wireshark and nmap run on my server 24/7. So I see IP and other traffic bounce in and out all the time on my live servers.

Not for my LiveOriginal servers. It's in my thread as one of my updates.

Well even with potion hackers there are not really a problem same goes for speed hacking there not really a problem until you combine the two hacks together and then its get really difficult to kill these guys.

and don't tell me you need hacks to kill these guys. they are still hackers probably not the best players in a fighting game. so you can still outplay them with a good team or even 1v1. you just need to know how and I think placebo know precisely what I mean.

people just need proper training to fight hackers. ofc you can use hacks and all to do the job but you using them too. so then is he going to stop playing archeblade because there is a player that can kill him sometimes with hacks? no, ofc not... he probably continues.

you need to let him quit the game with your own power and if you can't ask players to do it for you or learn to beat these guys by asking players that know how to do it.

thats why a lot of people know how to juggle with valle its really good against hackers that don't use speed hacks but a diffrent way of hacking.
don't tell me but normally they useing speed hacks and potions. yes .. I know.
makes it really difficult but you know you are with a lot of archebladers against few hackers playing as a team you can win everything as a team.
