Spiders

I played this game on Normal setting, couldn't get past the spiders, despite saving just before hand and then directly after if I could get through a fight without being poisoned!!

I'm out of cure poison roots, and I am still meeting spiders (on easy now)

How on earth are you supposed to do this? The spiders poison you almost every time, what am I doing wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you're dealing with only one spider, you could lure it to an open space and hit it while side stepping it.

If you have a room full of them, then it's best to open the gate, kill the spider on the other end, and close the gate again. Now you can patch yourself up, rest (pressing 'r' makes you sleep and while you sleep you can heal).

If one of your party has died, you can go back to the save gem and resurrect the character.

Use potions only as a last resort (when you can't withdraw or close a gate).

Most importantly you can sleep through the poison, as long as you are in a safe place. Or just risk it and sleep in a corner somewhere.
