Help with "Rooke: The Prototype"
I'm not sure I understand how the scoring works on this mission. I consistently earn a C rank on it no matter how well I try to max out the different scores. I just completed it with perfect scores for zero witnesses, zero violence, and zero noise. So I met her special request to not use violence perfectly.

Demerits: The only thing is that the level requires a buttload of motion detector hacking, so it takes a lot of time to rewire and a certain amount of waiting for guards to walk through all the different detectors, so it's kinda difficult to go super fast on it. I also did not get the one laptop side objective.

I guess I don't understand what does and does not count toward getting higher than a C in this level since, by 3 out of 5 measures, I am completing the level perfectly. Do I have to get a perfect score on every measure to get an A on this mission?

Rank is based on time. It's always like that. Beat the game and return to it when you have all the upgrades. You'll beat it quicker that way.

Ewww, I like the puzzle aspect of it but have never liked timed challenges. I might just end up skipping perfect completion if it comes down to timing. No hate on the game, though. Just not a challenge type that appeals to me. Thanks for confirming!

Well I have a correction, A majority of rank depends on time. Passing C mainly. For example, level 1 with full jump and charge, allows you to go into the top floor, hack the pc, then jump out.
You will most likely get an A rank for doing so, as there are only so many screwups you can have.

Actually, rank in Gunpoint is dependant on the client's "special request", this can be hack any laptops, minimal violence, no living witnessess etcetera. I'm pretty sure it says their request under their name in the phone chat scenes...

I have A+ on all levels, It doesn't matter about time, however you will be able to tell what you were supposed to do from the yellowish highlight at the finish screen.

Thanks, Aespher. I forgot about this thread, but I actually figured it out later. The timing doesn't really matter. The thing that was throwing me off is that I thought every client's special request was static, like it was their "personality" or "alignment" or something. But it turns out the special request changes and you have to just check it every time, which I wasn't doing. I was just assuming I knew what they "liked" already.
