Resolution changing problem

Help, i accidentaly closed the game with resolution on: dont change resolution at start and now everytime i try to start it i get an error that tells me i should play on 16bit color scheme on at least 1024x768. problem is i cant change from 32 to 16 on my display, and the settings wont change even if i reinstall the game. how can i start the game so i could change the resolution settings?

If you search on PC for .. Avernum4Settings.dat and delete contents of this file then the resolution issue is reset and game launches... just remember not to click that damn change resolution setting again ... a real pain :)
