Can't play, crash, and all...
Hi,

I'm not even sure why I'm posting this, since a lot of people seem to have the same kind of problems without being able to reach a solution. I guess I feel like many complaints here may reach Sega or the team who made the port, who knows... Used to be a fan of JSR & JSRF ten years ago, thought it could be great to have it always with me thanks to steam... Well, looks like for now I just threw away 8 euros (that would be what, 10 bucks) for nothing.

Installed the game, launched it via steam : Launcher with key configs, launch : freeze. Nothing works anymore on my computer, have to restart the whole damn machine. Crazy.
Launched it via C:/Program FIles and all : black screen, DJ face, JSR has stopped working.
Just tried the cache, and all, same problem.

Good computer, every driver up to date, intel core i5, 6GO ram, Geforce 630M 1g, Windows 7 64b... this problem comes from the game, indeed.

This... makes me sad. Not even angry, too much problems like that nowadays. So just sad and tired :( Don't feel like whining like everyone these years, fan boys going "wtf valve/sega shi♥♥♥♥nooobbf omg ♥♥♥ refund". I just think that is sad not to be able to buy a game and just play it, smoothly.

Hope this thread helps in responsible guys getting out a fix soon. Cheers everyone.

One week already and I still can't play it, neither did Steam answer to my support ticket. That's too bad. I so wish not much for a refund than just the possibility to play it: I used to love so much JSR & JSRF on XboX, and that's why I bought it here once again, to have it on my computer... I'm really sad :(

Alright, after some mails exchange about support on JSR, Steam just wrote me their two last advices: either to ask for Support from Sega (done, as I explained on other posts, the guy over there gave up) or either to ask for support............ here. Great. 10 bucks. I'm litteraly screwed.
I can't play neither because of the low FPS problems... Do they really test their games before releasing it ? When is a patch coming out ?
Have you tried reinstalling the game?
Have you tried running Steam as admin?
Do you have any other software running at the same time? (Some people have mentioned possible hardware acceleration incompatibilities with other software and even some webpage apps/scripts)
Have you tried going to the game's folder, to the prereqs subfolder, and manually installing the x64 .Net version as well as the DirectX version it comes with?
Hello you Cowboy Bebop you, and thanks for the tips. To be clear :
Yes, NO !, No, Yes. So, for your second question, I had not thought about that, although I am pretty sure it is related to the game itself more than Steam, but why not, I'll give it a shot, thanks.
I am in the same boat. Bought this during the Steam sale, still waiting on any fix and it's feeling like I just threw my money out too. It's very annoying that being honest and buying a game sticks you with the same problem as the people who pirated it. But, I will try everything you said, Real Folk Blues, and post back if it works! Thanks.
I'm with you guys on this problem too.

Game just crashes after loading for one second. Wish Sega would say something regarding the issue.
