Controller Support?

I love this game a lot, but I really could not play it well with the keyboard controls. I decided the other week I needed a controller; I went out, bought one, and now I can't seem to use it. Some controls are mapped, and other are not. It simply does not want to preform well. I used an XBox 360 controller and that worked so well, but I do not have money for a big-name controller so I bought a Gigaware PC controller and I was hoping I could program it to work.
I was so wrong. I was really, really wrong. Now I have a controller that does not work, and I read through the instruction booklet for set-up help and it seriously does not once cover how to make it work for your game, it just goes over how to change the sensitivity of the analog sticks and other things to test if the buttons are working. Help?

My Logitech controller worked just fine from the start. This brand is identified similarly to an Xbox controller, which is what the game seems to be coded for. I suggest getting your money back on any other 3rd party controller and going to WalMart or Best Buy

Are proper Xbox pads really that much more expensive than the knock-offs? I got my wireless pad for £19.99

well i did trick all games that support xbox360 gamepad by this tool: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/

open it, map your controller and copy the file "x360ce.ini" and "xinput1_3.dll" and paste them on folder where the game executable is placed, and you dont need to worrie about that anymore.

I have the same issue. I just bought a gigaware controller (today) and im so pissed right now.

I never did get it to work. I eventually caved, and bought a 360 Contoller. The Gigaware one WILL work, but you will need to hunt down a controller emulator that will enable you to emulate an Xbox 360/PS3 controller while you use the Gigaware one.

okay so something weird happened with my controller for this. it started out working just fine for JSR then the buttons got reconfigured to the point where i can't play. any help on how to fix this?
