Is it worth playing?

I was wondering if this game is worth playing?, I come from playing World of Warcraft, bored of it atm and need something to fill the time before the new expansion!

I find new stuff worth doing in the game and i've been playing it since release...

Now with the new heroic char's you can even jump in to it at level 85 and skip all the content 1-85 if you demand end game content... , however I like the "journey" ! :)

Personally, I'd suggest starting at low levels and working your way to about 10 or so to decide whether u can play the game or not. A lot of ppl who started on later MMOs won't enjoy EQ1 that much, and the current amount of content can be overwhelming and confusing.

If you find you can enjoy the basic gameplay though, then it may be worth it to invest in it. Grab a free 85, prolly in a class you enjoy (try em out to lv 8-10, should be quick enough), and find a guild or friends to guide you through the... sea of stuff.

EQ1 now is very diff from the famed EQ1 that got so much fame and nolstalgia, but it's still pretty solid. It is definitely worth at least trying out.
