Audio issues.

So I recently got this game and I like it so far, however, when ever I start the game the audio is at default settings and really loud for me (I wear headphones). I have to go into the settings and the bars are at where i have them set, but I have to increase or decrease the volume for it to be at the level I have it set at. I'm not sure if it's the game files or if its something else? any help will be apriciated.
