Seems to be a pretty active forum but the game looks decentish.

Confrontation is listed in this weeks Weekly Humble Bundle. https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly $1 and you get Steam Keys. Worth it to me at this point to give it a try.

seems that when I save and go to load it doesnt have an actual save file to load. is this a common issue among the many im seeing this game is plagued with?

Quite nice tactical game, though there are some perfomance issues: it is slowing down using Low settings on my GT540 card, which deals with most games.
