No free weekend working at all, f this crap

So irate about trying for the past 2 days to get this to work. The game is installed but not listed in the steam library, I tried to launch it manually and it says to verify steam is running and it is and just hangs. Seriously no wonder it doesn't sell well even on a falsely advertised free weekend.

worked for me 2-3 hours ago. there was a countdown of 56 minutes when i started it. exited and cant start anymore. i guess the free stuff is over.

It seems to have expired. I looked at the timer when I first installed the game and it was off, so I just assumed they would fix it. They didn't. Now you cannot play unless you buy it -- don't buy it, it is not worth your money. The only reason the game had people playing it was because of the influx of people during the free 'weekend.' With the weekend over, there's really no reason to bother (unless you are going to play premades.)

You might have to uninstall it and re-install it, if you haven't already. You may be missing something from the Game Cache you need to play it when you originally downloaded it, as Steam sometimes messes that up. Also, this game is not on Macs currently, if you are using a Mac- it will be, but not right now.

Since it is talking about verifying with Steam, you are very likely missing something from the download- this being Steam's fault, not Awesomenauts'.

Also, the devs have replied on the Awesomenauts forum as to this issue before. Check here and see if any of this can help answer your questions.

Let me reiterate, the free 'weekend' is over. It ended sunday afternoon. It's the sale that continues on through monday, not the free weekend. I got a steam pop-up saying such.

Installed from library, i always do that with the free weekend games. Never ever from store. Never had problems. Maybe try that next time.
