Save game issue?

My game is just no longer saving up to date.I have finished chapter 10, gotten achievements for it, and when i press continue the game takes me to about chapter 8!! Also, chapter 10 is "locked" even though I played into chapter 11, so i can't manually play from the end of chapter 10 to 11. What must I do to update the save-game file? Without losing my save-game? :'(. Golden gun and clues still register btw.
