I love Shadow Complex, but this game does not play like that (you can't just hold your right stick in a direction and be able to hit people). In Showdown when using guns you have to have your aimer right on the person to hit them. If you aim in front of an enemy or behind him, your shots will miss. You have to keep the reticule on the person the entire time, as they are dodging, jumping, sliding, etc. Watch a youtube video and you will see what I am talking about.
I use my xbox controller on a lot of games, but if you want to stand a chance against other players using a M&K then you have to use one too. Otherwise it will be like trying to play Counter Strike or Unreal Tourney with a controller while everyone else is rocking mouse and key.
*edit* UTeightohfive, you posted at nearly the same time as I did, apologies :)
You are making a well informed argument there, doesn't happen often in these kind of topics. Because they are usually wrong, but your explanation makes sense. I guess Ill skip this game then, thanks :)
Also, claiming "the developers said it" but being completely incapable of finding an actual quote doesn't help your cause either. Be glad UTeightohfive came along and made a proper argument ;)

Seems to me that you are the one making personal attacks and starting arguments. Chill out.
this has nothing to do with pricks telling you that K&M is better.... in this game it just IS. You don't aim in a general direction like most 2d shooters, you actually have to constantly keep the mouse on your target or you will never hit them... this would be simply impossible to work on a gamepad.
It would be awesome to play a local multiplayer match when everyone has a controller.
I always keep in mind that there will be a Steambox... so they would be well adviced to include splitscreen and controller support :)
