Yes indeed ! This game is hard, long and cute, I'm waiting for a second episode now.

Me too! But I heard that Lizsoft left the developer career because his game didn't sold much...I hope that this is eighter not true or that he changed his mind. I would certainly buy the sequel!

I gotta say i really like this game, but i have one problem with it IT NEEDS A MAP!!! i just cant stress that one part enough. I got lost so many times and been going into circles wasting items thinking im moving forward but i am not. i hope in the sequel you will have a map.

Not having a map is part of the fun. In fact, you don't have anything, not even instructions of what the F1, F2 etc keys do, you gotta talk to people, explore and such to discover, like you would if it was in real life, you would also get no map...but I do agree it is frustrating sometimes :P But I got used to it, I explored every possible path of a dungeon and when not in a dungeon, I just analised the little boards telling you where cities were and all

We all do :P
There is no map, so I drew one in paint. Also the walkthroughs that exist helps out a lot. I am not a huge fan of games that have artificial time wasting barriers.

I also greatly dislike the ridiculous amount of backtracking in this game. The combat is good though, very responsive with a game pad. Uber smart AI, which I freaking love. Quite a thrill healing at only 10 hp :>

I love the game because it's without a map, I try to keep everything in my head, the only time I get lost is outside because it's huge but then I just read the signs which is a funny/realistic way to do it. The game is pretty hard too, combat-wise or story-wise, it's not always easy to figure out where to go next, a walkthrought would spoil that for me. Overall, it's a great game, it deserves more love! First game where I (as a Human player) feel below every aspect of the AI.

Oh and about the quitting stuff, I'm afraid it's true, the developer LizSoft is a one-man studio, after he released Fortune Summoners he quit because he didn't get enough money to turn the game-making business into a career. Considering Recettear was awesome and Chantelise was so-so, it's pretty sad.

Chantelise was god awful.. abysmally bad controls and camera even with a gamepad.
