Evidence, please.
Er....these were translated by GOONS....I really really doubt that religion had ANYTHING to do with it....
And as the publishers of this game, they have mod powers over this forum...so why is this thread still here?
I'll tell you what, if they really were a prude company they wouldn't have had Tear cursing all the time in Recettear.
LOL
The question is how big this problem in this particular game?
Is it just one picture?
Does anyone here have any evidence of plot and dialogues censorship?
It's just a kind of censorship which I really detest.
From what I've found on the internets it seem like only 1 image was modified and it's easy to restore it from JP version of the game.
Where did you get this information?
Because Carpe Fulgur was created to localize Recettear, then worked on Chantelise and Fortune Summoners and is now working on Trails in the Sky SC. They've never done any other games.

On one hand, it is censored, sure.
And on the other hand ... oh boy, there it starts. On the other hand there is the fact that there are countries in which the game could be banned because there are some people in control who can't get it into their heads that drawn characters aren't real people and nudity does not imply sexual debauchery and other things of this sort.
So yes, they censored the game, with the consent of the original artist who simply provided an alternate CG (and a simple change in one CG, one of the sort we got in this game, really isn't a big deal). And they changed it because whereas in Japan nudity in hot springs is normal and accepted, in most other countries it is not
And that, combined with the fact that the people who scour through games like lunatics to find anything allegedly indecent tend to be unaware of the reason why there is any nudity there and why would it ever be considered acceptable, means it is simply much less of a hassle for everyone if it is “censored”.
Much less of a hassle for everyone outside of those who make a big deal out of it for no real reason, that is.
Because seriously people, I don't like censorship for the sake of censorship but here it is justified, deal with it at least somewhat maturely.
