Where is Christa the stunning?

The walkthrough states that on the second island (Westlig) I will "go the first Valkyrie": so I went to Westlig but I could only detect enemy troops. So I cleared the whole mountain of enemies and explored it but found no valkyrie. Then I cleared away the rock barrier and talked to the soothsayer - but still no valkyrie appeared. What am I missing?

Thank you Talana, that's what I did before writing this question. Here is what the walkthrough says in detail:
"Exit the settlement by the sawmill and make your way up the hill, here you go your first Valkyrie “Christa the Stunning”, there is also navigation chart for Island of Istering (Isterreng, depends where you point the mouse) and dig up the rune-covered tablet."
I did indeed make my way up the hill but I did not "go my first Valkyrie" and so far I've been completely unable to find her+the chart+the tablet despite having cleaned and explored the whole hill. So I assume that I missed some sort of clue. Is she in some specific location that I missed? Do I need to fullfill some specific conditions? Qien sabe?

Did you find "Temple of the Sun"? It is in fact up the hill,but in kind of a weird spot. That`s where she is. It is in the snow area to the south west. At the top of the mountain , behind a wooden bridge? I kind of stumbled upon the spot ;) Also , if I remember correctly ( might be wrong) - there might be a thing there you have to pick up before she appears.

Hmm.. I did try to go up the hill without talking to the king first and she was still there, is it possible that you went up the wrong hill? :)

Yes sethmage I sure did: to me "the hill" was very obviously the big one north of the settlement and I completely ignored the small hillside to the west :-)
