King's Bounty: Warriors of the North

King's Bounty: Warriors of the North

Walk-through
I wrote a rough walk-through and posted last weekend, but base on the questions people are asking I will have to add few paragraphs. I figured that if you read your quest-book and explore more you will achieve your goal, but I was evidently wrong.

I was also thinking to add some funny/interesting tactics like this one:

Have 2 stacks of Rune Mages, 2 stacks of Paladins and stack of Royal Grifins, your first round looks like that:
1. Since the Royal Griffins have here the highest initiative they will move first, fly them to the middle and use heavenly guard. Did you see the abilities for that guard!!? a) Furious - Always retaliates! b) Phantom – receives half damage from physical attacks, c) Negate magic – 25% magic resistance, and they can fly so it means they cannot be blocked.
1.1 First Paladin waits
1.2 Second Paladin waits
1.3 First Rune Mage uses ability phantom on royal griffins
1.4 Phantomed griffins move and use heavenly guard
1.5 Second Rune Mage uses ability phantom on royal griffins
1.6 Second Phantomed griffins move and use heavenly guard
1.7 First Paladin uses ability Second Wind on 1st Rune Mage
1.8 Second Paladin uses ability Second Wind on 2nd Rune Mage
1.9 First Rune Mage uses ability phantom on royal griffins
1.10 Phantomed griffins move and use heavenly guard
1.11 Second Rune Mage uses ability phantom on royal griffins
1.12 Phantomed griffins move and use heavenly guard
1.13 now if you are a mage and can cast 2 spells cast gift and fit of energy
1.14 so Royal Griffins use heavenly guard again
The kicker here is that when the phantomed/summoned royal griffins vanish from the battlefield their heavenly guard stays for the end of the fight.

Also there are few bugs that people should be aware of, one in particular is: if you decide to go for the achievement Confident you will lose all yours spells in the spell-book and you will have only at the disposal what your Allies would have (Dwarevs, Vikings or Elves)

This may be really dumb to ask but how do you have multiple stacks of the same troop type? If I have a stack of Rune Mages it will not let me buy any more. Sounds like I am missing something obvious.
The amount of your army is based on your leadership, in case of Rune Mages they have 180 leadership and if your Olaf has 14500 that is 14500 / 180 which gives 80.5555, since they don't sell any body parts you will have 80 whole rune mages regardless how many stack you will make (you can make 5 stacks of 16).

Now to split a stack, you have 5 slots for your active army, empty 1 of them and then click on the troop you want to split, small arrow will appear at the bottom of the selected troop. When you press the arrow the window will pop up and you can chose the size of the stacks. You can do this in the reserve slots as well.
