Font error when launching BO2- does that mean i can only play in polish?

Heya, i'm getting the "Could not load default asset ‘fonts/720/consolefont’ for asset type ‘font’" error when launching the game, the known issues section states that i need to change my language to polist- BO2 works if i do, however i'm not polish and the game isn't really fun when everything is in a language you don't understand. I tried to switch back to ENG but i get the same font error again. Any workarounds/ fixes?

I think you can change Steam to Polish, but the game to English language.

but i get the error if i set the game to English, so this shouldn't really help. Plus i wouldn't be able to change steam back to English (again, i don't speak/read polish)

The thing I dont get is that steam doesnt sell a version of BO2 with polish.... where did you get this?

I bought it from a local retailer, the game itself doesn't say polish, it should be EU however i believe steam somehow thinks i'm in poland (i'm based in Lithuania right next to poland).
If i look in my steam library BO2 doesn't really say polish or anything, however the fishy part is that there's a "fix"for this in the known problems section

There's a lot of countries where this game is localized only for boxed editions (which you also have to activate on Steam). It's the only way to get the game in your language for example in Poland. Why they make such a pointless restrictions is beyond me. And it seems they can't even make them right... Why on earth someone should have problem with launching game in english? I don't even...

I think there is no Reason for that, but if People still Buy Steam games...
But id woud be Nice if the Money we Pay for Games, also is only avaible for them in the Land you buy.

Yeah, it does seem to be a restriction. I went as far as to submit a support ticket to Activision and in doing that i found that there are 2 versions for BO2 in EU (at least in english) - there's EU UK version and EU non UK.
Again, i really don't understand why steam can't just put an option for language selection when buying a game, i had a very similar experience with borderlands 2 - i preordered the game on steam without checking anything and turns out only the russian version was available. After discussions with steam staff they gave me both a RU and a ENG version, however BO2 doens't really have a version as such, the language is selected in settings

Yeah, the torrent worked, just be sure to copy the contents of folders and not the folders themselves- i screwed this up a couple of times and needed to verify my game which took like forever.
Activision came back and asked me for diagnostic info on my PC, but since the game was finally working for me i just ignored the ticket

OK, the latest game update removed language selection all together and i was stuck on polish again, however i again did the torrent trick and that fixed it again.
I guess i'll need to do that after every update, that's just great

Just save the files somewhere, and add them after updates
