The target's pretty high though ( i seem to remember it's 600, although don't quote me on that!). I'd recommend a) using the close range attack almost exclusively (you get double combo points for that), and b) let the enemies build up before you start attacking.
The trick is to get to the point where you start shooting missiles in your first few attacks. The missiles auto fire an stop your combo counter from dropping as fast.
Other general tricks for combo medals include using all the close range meter when you've got the missiles firing. After 2 seconds of your close range charge running out, you'll be given ~1 quater of your meter back. Having the missiles will help keep your combo meter from dropping too much. Also, the combo medal isn't awarded until the level select screen, so keep going during the frenzy section!
Hope that helps!
Cheers
Charlie
Thanks again for taking the time to help, and you have a good day! I may post again to say how it went.
Have you unlocked expert mode yet? There's more medals in there!
Cheers
Charlie
