Good deal or shady aka waste of money? :(

• People having dodgy multiplayer experience which might not be devs' fault but it is a reminder that Namco/Bugbear/whoever could just shut down the master servers any old time they feel like it.

it looks like good production quality for ~$9 game. (of course I would buy the DLC) but with so much suspect about it......

the multiplayer was dead since day 1. u should buy it thinking in single player (wich is good). for $9 it's a great deal, but i should go for the game alone and pay 6.79 coz the extra cars are only skins for already available cars

There is decent single player content so it's not a waste of money. Multiplayer was dead since day 1 just because people don't care about Ridge Racer in PC. It's sad but true. I have a feeling people now want to give it a shot (as opposed to when the game costaed 50 dollars... sick price). I have played a few games on internet and it was fun but at the moment it is hard to say whether the game is becoming alive after this sale.

EDIT: Bear in mind that it is highly recommended to have xbox style controller for this game.

The game is fun. I got it for 8 bundle everythign included.
IF you know how to race from other games you will learn in here too. hard at first but once you play the same map 3 times or so you start getting better place in the race.
Special effects are good graphics are a killer for a cheap game.
I don't know about multiplayer but I wasn't thinking about multi. this is a game that if you have a nice PC you can put it on when people come and visit or so. It's not something to play for hours but for pass the time yes while there is nothing else to play or if you want something different.
I hope this helps. btw don't forget to use the space bar to drift otherwise you won't win any races. Overall worth the sale price.

I would not say they are just skins, some of those cars have their unique stats. The only DLC car which wasn´t worth my money is which I wanted the most: Type 4 Machine, it looks awesome, but it is the slowest car. Therefore useless in this game.
