Without trying to be rude.... Team 6 can go *^%$@*Z)*&%#@ themselves with a ten foot barge pole, with rusty nails, and maybe some meat hooks, and a healthy sprinkling of salt. Then once they've recovered, they can go do it a second time. What the hell did they do to Flatout? And now they think encroaching on Carmageddon territory will save the game...? I want whatever drugs they're on, it must be some pretty mind-blowing stuff.... (O.o)

This, and the 18 minutes this "racing" game lasted on my PC, is all the time and effort I'm willing to waste on this abomination.

Unfortunately, I have to say it is... Just to clarrify why though:

The first Flatout was brilliant, with regards to vehicle handling realism, it was ahead of it's time (especially on the ice tracks). Flatout 2 took on a much more arcad-ish feel and improved the sense of speed, and focussed more on destruction-derby style racing than the original did which simply made it more "fun", but Bugbear still did an amazing job with the vehicle handling. Flatout UC is really just Flatout 2 with extra tracks, cars, drivers, game modes and Windows Live, so, same as above.

Flatout 3 though? The handling is just horrid, the cars do not react as any racing game fan would expect when you either hit something or get hit by something, or if you catch a ditch while cornering. There is virtually no sense of speed anymore, the faster you go, the more the screen "stretches", but it doesn't actually feel like you're going faster. On top of that, the graphics actually seem to have taken a few steps backwards, it looks worse than a first-gen PlayStation game to me..

I don't regret buying the full Flatout pack, simply because I got the three best games in the series, but Flatout 3 on it's own is most definitely not worth spending money on.

BugBear were just the developers for FlatOut (at least, I think so), Empire Interactive owned the title itself. I'm not sure of all the details, there still things I haven't managed to work out, but from what I know, Empire Interactive ran out of money and shut down permanently in 2009, selling all their titles.

I found some hints online that the FlatOut title is now owned by Zoo Games, but the only website I could find for them redirects to indiePub, so who knows...

Btw. This game isn't from Bugbear Ent. (As i know it. I could be wrong too.) Bugbear is making a new Flatout game. So don't worry for another crappy FO game. This time we go back in time to the first FO game ever made. Same idea as in FOUC but with the first FO ideas

Zoo Games just published FlatOut for the Wii (a crappy game handled by the kind guys over at Team6).
Then some nut-head fans got in touch with Team6 and wanted them to make another FO for the PC. Well... That's Flatout 3!
