Toki Tori 2+
Gamepad Issues
Anyone else having trouble using their gamepad? I have a Logitech RumblePad and the game seems to just not recognize it at all. The gamepad works and I use it in other games regularly.

We only support the 360 controller. There may be third party solutions out there to map your controller to that.
I understand why this is the case (I've run into this issue with other games too) but it is still very frustrating. Obviously you have no obligation to change your game on my behalf, so consider this complaint lodged. I hope you consider adding support for third-party controllers in the future.

Noted! Thanks for understanding.
I'm using a Logitech F710 Wireless gamepad (Switch at the back set to X) and works perfectly.
Try finding mapper program that has an option for your controller to be recognized as a 360 contoller. I do that with my PS3 controller using Better DS3 and it works flawlessly.
I found one and it worked! Thanks smashsmack! For anyone else looking for a way to do it, here's the link to the software you'll need:

http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip&can=2&q=

And here's the instructions on using it:

I'll second the recommendation for x360ce. I've used it with a lot of games that expect an Xbox controller. including Toki Tori & Toki Tori 2+.
I'm using x360ce (I'm familiar with the software from many other games) but Toki Tori 2 seems to hate it. Moving the right stick makes my guy stomp the ground, the camera is all banged up, buttons don't do what the game says they should, etc.

The crazy thing is that this same exact configuration works perfectly in Toki Tori 1.

Running x360ce.exe outside of the game shows that my mappings are fine so I don't understand why it's not working in the game.

edit: DirectInput support would be nice.

Mess with compatibility modes. That might do the trick.
A few version of X360CE + few version of DLL files + compatibility modes = no f**** dice. This game just doesn't like this emulator, which is weird as every other game worked with 3 different NO NAME joypads and this emulator. I guess Xpadder is the way to go for me this time.
I couldn't get it to work with compatibility modes either.

Since my last post, I got tired of dealing with x360ce's persistent inconsistencies and the lack of DirectInput support in modern games so I'm now using a standard XBone controller with Microsoft's drivers. Works fine.

then i would suggest removing the "Full Controller Support" tag on your store page, as only supporting one controller type IS NOT full controller support.

i'd also like to say thank you for helping me to decide to pass on this game as well.

In case anybody wants to use a DInput controller with this game, it's as simple as using x360ce. Just download it, extract the EXE into the game's folder, run it, configure it with your DInput controller, and save. Test the game, If it works flawlessly, you're good. If it doesn't, open x360ce.ini in the game's directory with notepad, go under [InputHook], and paste HookCOM=1 underneath it. So that section should look something like this.

[InputHook]
HookMask=0
HookCOM=1

Save and close the file, then load up the game. Your controller should be working just fine afterwards.

Also, 毕贤胜, it's not Two Tribes' fault Steam chooses to use "Full Controller Support" to define games that only have XInput support. If a game supports DInput, it will be marked with "Partial Controller Support". It's definitely strange, and I have no idea why they categorize it as such, but again, don't get mad at Two Tribes for "labeling their game incorrectly", get mad at Steam for having misleading labels for certain features.
