What am I missing?

I'm in the starting village, or whatever that's supposed to be. Got the gun, the map, the "silver locket". Fought that Balrog thing in the shack.

Problem: all the doors are locked, lead to small buildings with nothing to do inside, or to areas with no exit and nothing to do. The cementary has another dog blocking the entrance, so that's basically locked too.

The map is too tiny to be useful for anything... WTF am I missing here?

After fighting Balrog, you must talk to the Mimiga in front of the door to the cemetery. He will move out of the way so you can go through the cemetery and get the key to Arthur's house.

Oh... so I guess I'm missing exclamation marks on the heads of the NPCs to tell me when to talk to them again :-)

I was SURE I talked to all of them again, but maybe I missed that one...
