Can't login my runic account

hi, i just bought torchlight 2 today, when i wanted to play online, i could not login my account. I already registered runic account and connected my steam account. any help? it says invalid username/passsword or account not associated with purchase

After the new patch, the game's login box can do 64 character long passwords. beforehand, it was probably fairly small as I had problems logging in until I changed my password from 100 characters to 15 as a quick test. Also, could be caused because you're using special characters ($*&#), login through the site and change your password around and see if something else works.

ah i think i know the problem. i connected my runic id with my wrong steam account lol... ill make my new runic id.

Yeah it it usually user error that causes these issues.
Most people try to log in with their steam account info in the login box within Torchlight. Or they bought the game on steam and have not linked the steam account with the torchlight II account. Something like that.
