Multiplayer in modded mode.

Anyone find it basically impossible to play with anyone else online if you're using mods? I search for games and there's never anyone with the same combo of mods.

yea. problem is other than same combo, they also have to be in the same load order..
So basically it's impossible to play mod multiplayer unlesss you organize it with someone

LAN with mods seems impossible too. Never able to join the game.

That's a shame. It sucks that a simple mod that only changes things for me prevents my friends from playing with me. Especially since they're the ones who convinced me to buy the game in the first place.

Well you can always launch the Vanilla game and start the multiplayer there, I don't see a big deal with it.

That's what I mean though, when I try that my character doesn't show up. Like I can just start a new game with my friends, but it would be nice to take my main into multiplayer if I wanted to.

Hmm...did you transfer your character from the Modfile safe back to the vanilla safe stash? It could be he's incompatible that way when you wear / have stuff in effect from a mod which isn't there in the vanilla version.

I tried putting all my pots and stuff into the stash (should be the only thing the mods affected), exiting TL2, disabling all mods, going into game, saving and quitting, then transferring the save out of the modsave file and back into the vanilla save file and it still didn't work.

Lads im gonna start a group with specific mods only so we can find each other online. who is interested ? this is not to use the synergies mod which is a total conversion, just the good old tl2 with certain enhancements without destroying the enjoyment of playing it.

i have the following mod enhancements on mind:

- all skills any character. doesnt matter if you start as engineer, or pirate, etc.. all skills are available. depends on your choice of specialty skill as you progress.
- all types of armor available for use by any character.
- use human as pets/buddies and fight alongside with you.
- more enemies, more gold, more unique drops, more legendaries, more skulls, more stash
- levels up to 500.

what do you think ? :)
