And how does it affect you negatively if controller support is added?

It doesn't. The devs aren't going to add it in though because they stopped supporting this game back in April.

OH, I wasn't aware of that :/

I DONT agreed those kind of games are way better played with mouse and keyboard..i use a remote 90% of the time but this kind of game i use only keyboard and mouse...Like when they put d3 on console...what a fail...

Go to Runic.com they have a thread, d/l, and a tutorial on gamepad use.

Get Pinnacle Gaming Profiler. I picked it up from their website for 10 bucks. It's a third party program that lets you program any controlle, anything your OS picks up even a Wii remote, and then ties it to games. It even has supports games on Steam with a one-click button. The best thing is that there's already pre-made profiles for a ton of popular games including this one.
Thie first Torchlight played fine with a controller on Xbox. Some people need to mind their own business and let others play the game the way they want.

Yeah but the ting about 3rd party programs is that they don't remove the cursor. And if a game has a cursor, it's way more accurate to play with a mouse ;)
I'd like to play it like Sacred 2 on XBOX 360 (so it's as if you play Skyrim with a top down view).

The lack of controller support is the only reason I'm not buying it.

Bought it. Played it once for 30 minutes. Have not played since finding out no gamepad mods can be made through the workshop. Signed...
This does not need controller support. All it requires is that the user has; two hands preferably one left and one right with all 10 digits.

I saw this on the Runic fourms as well. They won't do it because apparently, it uses to many hot keys which wouldn't convert well to a gamepad which I guess I can see.

I guess it's just one of those games were you have to get used to it.
