Main menu bug with the Linux version
I've tried running the game with and without mods and in fullscreen or windowed mode (changed in the config file) and this keeps happening http://i.imgur.com/DPvzip3.png I've also verified the game files and reinstalled

For reference here are the GPU drivers I use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/Catalyst-test/

A SOLUTION that worked for me A fix posted by "sickbyte"

"~/.local/share/Runic Games/Torchlight 2/local_settings.txt
I modified the line with
ALLOW HWSKINNING :1
turning the value to 0 and now at least the menu is working. Off to the game!"

send us an email at support@runicgames.com or through our site at https://support.runicgames.com/ with your system specs, etc. so we can get more details on what is going on there... that might be related to video driver.

Same on me. I prepare info to send you.

I think is a driver issue (I use fglrx Catalyst 14.12 omega)

edit: email with steam info and harinfo send.

Yup I use fglrx as well on Arch linux using the AUR package "catalyst-test"

Same for me. Latest Omega fglrx driver (6000 series card). A friend with the default Ubuntu version of fglrx had no problem starting the game (5000 series card).

Same problem here, Radeon 5450, Debian w/ LXDE. Driver was from AMD.com directly.

That card should theoretically be able to run the game, but maybe there's a problem in the driver... Contact us and send in your system info, etc. http://support.runicgames.com/

Downgrading from Omega to the default Ubuntu driver seams to work for me.

Edit: Reinstalling Omega and got the menu bug again. It is deinetly a problem in the driver.

We'll take a look at that driver, but if it is a driver problem, there probably won't be much we can do. Not sure how often the Omega folks update their drivers...

You install default fglrx Ubuntu driver or default open source driver?

Omega is the latest official AMD version of the fglrx driver. Therefore Omega folks are very likely to update their driver. Those who use the default proprietary driver supplied by Ubuntu are using an older version. The next Ubuntu which will be released in April will use Omega or newer. Contact AMD if a workaround or fix can not be found.

fglrx. I was going to try open source as well but I was missing some libs to get steam running properly. Edit: Or rather steam runtime uses slightly outdated version of its packages to be compatible with the open source driver, and I was missing some libs to run with steam runtime disabled.
