Is this game dead?

1. Does anybody actually use the brickyard, sawmill, and goldmine? They're pretty much useless at least for me. I hope they get replaced by other buildings or powers. Just creating everything yourself is much easier, not to mention you also had to feed those things gold and other workers to work. Creating two of the same resource tile and putting workers on it is probably a better option if you want to consistently produce planks/bricks/coins. playing the beta and i read on this forum that you could purchase things that made the game easier OR purchase things that made it harder. i am not sure what the row of "skulls" along the bottom does. it looked like the Inventory row to me so if i selected a skull i was getting rid of slot that a skull would take up in game. can't recall now but let's say there are 12 inventory slots so theoretically while playing skulls could eventually take all 12 slots and choke off your progress. well, i just clic...
