I need help, Crash fix before game starts. Please help

Hey guys. I just bought this game because it was on sale since its Christmas. I was excited to play this game but the game won't even open. I've tried to search up fixes and everyone else has been having this problem as well. When i click on play, the logo of Batman: Arkham City shows but it just stays there. After 3 minutes it closes and the game doesnt play. If anyone has a fix, please tell me. Thank you and Merry Christmas :)

Thanks for the help, I've already tried this and it didn't work. But I did fix it by deleting some files and restarting my mac. Thanks for the help though :)

I am having crash problems as well. One day it was working fine then the next it wasn't and I didn't change anything between those days. First it launched and reached the click start screene then crashed. Then it wouldn't even start up to there before crashing.

Crash repost is giving me this sort of error. I'm not sure what changed between one night's launch and the next day's.

Download and install Nvidea PhysX. Game crashed at startup for me too until I installed it, works fine now :)

I second Sartori's advice. Especially if the game crashes after Catwoman says "It's just little ol' me" during the game intro. The game works perfect with NVIDIA GeForce drivers and PhysX is pretty much a must-have

what files did you delete? I downloaded the game on my external hard drive so I thought that might be the problem but what did you actually do to fix it?

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 4800+
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 17 GB free hard drive space
Video Card: ATI 3850HD 512 MB or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB
DirectX: 9.0c

Make sure your OS is updated, you are running the latest GPU drivers, you are running the latest DirectX and .NET FX

I have a mac and have been playing the game fine up until recently. Have played the game all the way through in the past with no problems. Now I can't even reach the screen that says click to start. Haven't changed any game settings, haven't installed the different/new iOS so I still have the one I've been using before. Really hoping to find a fix that doesn't involve removing the game then redownloading and reinstalling cause of my ISP's data cap. I'd rather that be a last resort sort of thing.

That's only the first set of problems your gonna have. The next big one is the Save Game problem.

PhysX is definitely the issue. Installed PhysX, and everything was fine. No more crashing during cinematics.

Could not start a game at all. I had to trun off Directx 11. Works with turned on PhysX on full.
