Hey there. About how long is the game? How does saving / checkpoints work? thank you

First of all, I realize that not every game is for everybody. ( and a lot of this opinion ) Why can't he defend himself? Or does he later? Slingshot? I couldn't really feel any "weight" to the movement or jumping. I went to an upper structure, fell off, and the game froze. Now when I hit "continue" the game is still in a frozen state......
