Trading Cards

I really Like the images in this game and just started playing today. The game would be so much nicer with some trading cards.

Trading cards make no difference in the quality of a game. It is just fluff...

While it is true that trading cards are a nice bonus to the game and they can motivate people to play the game, not having trading cards shouldn't make the game worse. They don't really affect the gameplay.

who said anything about game mechanics? i grew up in the 70's hence the 70 in my sceen name and watched a lot of old black and white sci fi films... so i thought about how the cards would look... thought that it would look really nice...
Comparing Cards to how a game works sounds really stupid don't you think? But they have thousands out here and no one is complaing about the half a million dota 2 players with their steam cards

Cards are never a bad thing so I don't see why theres a negative reaction to Buddhist_Gamer70's comment. He didn't say they would improve the gameplay just that they would make the game nicer. A lot of people like collecting the cards and I expect even more people (myself included) see the cards as a nice way to get a few pence back off the price of a game.
They would certainly be more appealing design wise than half the cards I've seen on games so far
