How do you take a picture ?

I stand all around the lights, But all it says I need better lighting to take a picture, VERY frustating

Make sure you picked up the camera from the quest giver and that it is in your inventory.
1. Go to inventory
2. Set camera to a slot (weapon slot, item slot, whatever)
3. In the Destroyed City there will be specific spots you need to stand on (You will know which spots because there will be a big circle of light almost like a spotlight and a message will pop up telling you that a picture can be taken there where you stand.)
4. Use the camera

Already had the canera and every thing, but no matter where I stood it would not take a pic, but I finally got it by walking towards where I knew it would be triggered and hitting the button two or three times. Thanks for the help.

No problem, it took me a little bit to get it too.

for those who haven't had a chance to complete it yet, This only seemed to work for me while i was being attacked by mobs. Couldn't either hit/kill mobs before taking the picture. Had to do it during a fight. Hope this helps.

First quest I needed to use clues on and even those didn't help.
Just figured out the problem - you have to use the camera while the message is still onscreen. Camera won't work once the message goes away, so just walk away and walk back so the message pops up again.

I've been unsuccessful so far, going to try this method to see if it works. Just another annoyance in a so far boring game (imo). P.S. why does the character have to grab his crotch everytime he fast travels? It's like an elementary aged boy's humor.

*This method isn't working for me, I have the camera slotted- I take the picture while the msg is still up but still the 'I need better lighting to take a picture' msg. Irritating.

Just out of curiosity, are you using Mouse/Keyboard? (I am and I am just wondering if it's making a difference). I've even tried it in the 'spotlight' areas while the msg is still up -nothing I do matters.

**Dev. next time you make a game- can you have it read mice as well for slotted items? I have a 17 button mouse and even in games before the mouse type was available (take Oblivion for example) I can still use it with older games (the thumb/#pad), it's more convenient hitting the camera/slotted on the #4 on my mouse- than trying to hit it while using WASD.

I diddnt think it would be this easy but...walk towards the picture opp, AS SOON AS the photo op prompt pops up USE THE CAMERA, if it dont work, WALK AWAY and then walk back, rince and repeat.
