can't start the game

'ello, I'm running on an asus n56d, windows 8.1, AMD A10-4600M Quad-Core Processor, 8GB DDR3-1600 RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7730M.. I just get the steam loader and then nothing (as in the game doesn't start at all)

fixed it, right click the name of the game in your library -> properties -> local files -> browse local files, from there you locate your DeathSpank.exe and right click it and run as admin.. for some reason that fixed it for me, either that or verifying the game cache did the trick, or the combination of the two..
