Nuclear Dawn Patch 6.9 - November 2012 (preview)
taken from the Nuclear Dawn facebook today

In the next ND update, 6.9 we are going to add something that has been requested a lot, a way for a team to be able to do things without the need of a commander, Per Match player levels.

The basic idea is to allow a player to gain a limited number of 'levels' in-game, and choose an upgrade for each level, pick Siege Weapons, or Infantry upgrades levels I-III.

These 'Levels' will be gained every set number of in-game points. More info soon!

this is taken from IW forums from Viper.
they could be adding as time goes on. like they did today.

Oh yes, just when you thought we are about done, another thread is live with more information about the next patch for Nuclear Dawn.

Version 6.9 will mostly focus on the following things:
- Full gamepad/controller support (including menus in-game)
- Looking/adding community suggestions and fixes
- Possible map Coast (no set date here) and/or Mountainbase (forrest)
- Per match player levels
- Other optimizations to the game

As you can see 6.9 will be sort of a optimization patch where over the coming weeks we will look at what will be requested most, what can be changed and what can be added to the game if needed. After this we will move onto 7.x which will bring Linux client support to Nuclear Dawn.

The temporary levels idea is interesting. I look forward to it.

And poor Xanthi getting such a headache with coast. :<
I would lend him a hand but I'd probably be breaking a load of labour laws....

I have a question for the Developers, will this be a Native port using Source SDK or a WINE Wrapper? Several other Source games are being ported and Dear Esther is in closed Beta, but apparently it's using a "Sophisticated Wrapper", which means WINE. Thank you if you could take the time to answer this. :)
