Hey Oracles,

Keep going with our beta test for reworks/balancing!
In this beta patch we focused on reworking/balancing out actions from Hevelius :hevelius: and Austra :austra:.

Important Note: All new actions currently have temporary icons/names and all of the new text is currently only available in English. All of the changes in the beta version are subject to change.

To access Astrea beta version:

Right-click Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles in your Steam Library
Select Properties...
Select the Betas tab
Click the Beta Participation dropdown and select the "beta" branch

Patch Notes

General

Now pressing "Esc" when inspecting a die, viewing draw pool, discard, dice pool and etc (all UI that player can go back) will go back to previous screen instead of opening the Pause Menu.
Now pressing mouse right-click while dragging a die or a Virtue will drop the current dragged item.
Added keyboard shortcuts for End Turn, Draw Pool, Discard, Dice Pool, Corruption Meter and Hearts, Sentinels and map UI.
Added keyboard shortcuts for selecting Dice and Virtues.
Added keybinding menu.

Balancing

Neutral

Buffed Boost, now all enemies receive 10 Purification for each die discarded during the draw phase when Boost is active.
Artisan Staff won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Apprentice's Card won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.

Moonie

Moon Shard won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Nerfed Lunar Alignment dice values.
Buffed Ominous Conjuration, now it also draw 1 die.
Buffed Crescent Beam dice values. Changed Risky Die to be a Balanced Die.
Nerfed New Moon Ray dice values.

Cellarius

Buffed Soothe Mind dice values.
Balanced Tonic Trance, now it deals 2 Purification to a selected enemy for each point of Corruption decreased.
Nerfed Forge Wave dice values.
Balanced Trident of Depths. Now it also replaces your Area Purify 2 Virtue with Enemy Wave 2 Virtue.

Hevelius

Reworked Glowing Reactor, now player can receive Purification normally, but Whenever player receives Corruption dealt by the player itself or sentinel, Light Shield is ignored.
Reworked Battery Prototype, now it applies 1 Link: Boost to a random sentinel instead of Boost.
Buffed Fortify, now also Light Shield is not removed at the start player next X turns. Buffed Fortify dice values. Removed Dissolve Life from Risky Die.
Nerfed Barrier, now at the start of player turn Barrier decreases by 1.
Now Light Shield blocks Corruption before Barrier.
Buffed Field Barrier dice values. Changed Field Barrier Balanced Die to Risky Die.
Buffed Restoration Burst dice values. Removed Risky Die.
Buffed Augmented Welding dice values. Added 1 Draw 1 die face on Safe Die. Added 2 Draw 1 die faces on Balanced Die. Now it doesn't increase sentinel current Corruption when applied, only the Max Corruption.
Buffed Unstable Scrapping, now next time the sentinel that was broken by Unstable Scrapping is Repaired, all the effects that it had before being Broken will be restored. Added an Epic Die.
Buffed Overloaded Repair, now all effects that the Repaired sentinel had before being Broken will be restored. Added an Epic Die.
Buffed Sparkling Repair Balanced Die. Removed Sparkling Repair Risky Die.
Buffed Vile Repair dice values.
Buffed Link: Rock Plate, now it increases Corruption received by the sentinel by only 1.
Buffed Link: Vorpal Plate Safe Die values. Now it doesn't increase Corruption received by the sentinel anymore.
Buffed Link: Empower Safe Die values. Now it doesn't increase Corruption received by the sentinel anymore.
Buffed Link: Boost dice values. Changed Link: Boost Risky Die to Balanced Die. Now it doesn't increase Corruption received by the sentinel anymore. Now all enemies receive 10 Purification for each die discarded during the draw phase when Link: Boost is active.
Lacertian Beam won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Buffed Iron Strike dice values.
Buffed Vorpal Plate Safe Die values. Added Purify 1 to 4 die faces.
Nerfed Incorruptible Aura dice values. Added Unforgeable Corrupt to 2 die faces.
Buffed Auto Turret Safe Die values. Added Purify 1 to 3 die faces.
Defiant Alarm won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.

Austra

Reworked starting Dice Pool. Added a Minor Aimless, 2 x Random Purify 4, 2 x Random Purify 3, 1 x Random Purify 2, 1 x Random Corrupt 1. Removed a Minor Purify.
Buffed Tempest Pollen, whenever the player or a sentinel deal Purification to a sentinel, a random enemy receives 1 Purification for each Purification received by that sentinel divided by 2 (rounded down) with a minimun of 2.
Buffed Apian Lamp, now it makes Random Purify deal Purification to a random target 2 times.
Buffed Celestial Dew, now it increases Critical Multiplier for each criteria matched. For instance a Random Purify on a Safe Die will increase Critical Multiplier by 4.
Buffed Guiding Chime, increased Wind Glide value from 1 to 2.
Balanced Winged Pinwheel Wind Skitter value from 10 to 4.
Reworked Favorable Winds, now a random enemy receive X Purification whenever player plays a Chaotic++ Die. Favorable Winds can trigger Critical. Added an Epic Die.
Balanced Wind Skitter dice values.
Buffed Wind Glide dice values.
Buffed Invoke Gale, now it create multiple Chaotic++ Die.
Buffed Rising Gust dice values. Added 2 Draw 1 die faces on Safe Die.
Buffed Aerial Needle dice values, added 2 Random Purify die faces.
Reworked Clarity Whirlwind. Now it changes all dice from player hand with Random Purify action into Area Enemy Purify action until the end of enemies turn and changes all dice from player hand with Purify action of any type into Random Purify action until the end of enemies turn. Then it deals X Purification to all enemies for each action affected by this action. Removed Safe Die. Added Epic Die.
Reworked Resonant Buzz, now on the next X Purifications received by the player coming from a Random Purify action, all enemies receive 1 Purification for each Purification received by the player.
Buffed Brilliance dice values. Added 1 Draw 1 die face on Safe Die. Added 2 Draw 1 die faces on Balanced Die. Added Draw 1 to all die faces on Epic Die.
Buffed Dodge Safe Die values, added Purify 1 to 2 die faces.
Dazzling Light won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Dancing Wings won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Thundering Riposte Balanced Die and Risky Die won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Charging Antennas won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Trident of Depths not increasing Wave from Refreshing Headbutt, Geyser Uppercut and Tidal Jet.
Fixed Aerial Needle removing its own buff from dice affected by Clarity Whirlwind.
Fixed Neutral dice appearing on muted chapters.
Fixed dice appearing on muted chapters when getting the dice from a random interaction (like Invoke, Dicesmith Statue, etc.).
Fixed Defiant Alarm softlocking the game when playing it.
Fixed the word Ruins from Astropolis Ruins being highlighted in yellow when Anomaly 10 is active.
Fixed Voidsmith not activating its Overcorruption action.
Fixed Astrea Second Phase not activating its die when it just changed state.
Fixed Amplify description telling that only dice from hand can be selected when it could be any dice.
Fixed Sun Ray description.
Fixed Ambush battle softlocking on the battle victory screen.

Beta Test Reworks and Balancing - v1.1.363

Hey Oracles,

We are are working on reworks and balancing for each oracle and all other mechanics that are feeling a bit off, we want to make the game as much polished as possible. ✨🎲✨

We will make a beta period to test out those changes and our community feedback will be very much appreciated. Therefore this patch has been uploaded to our beta branch.
You can share your feedback here on steam or on Astrea Discord[discord.gg] where is usually a easier place to discuss about the changes (also in our discord you can receive the role Astral Tester and we can add your name to Astrea playtester credits).

In this first beta patch we focused on reworking/balancing out actions (or even add new actions 😱) from Neutral⭐, Moonie :moonie: and Cellarius :cellarius:.

Hope you all have fun testing out the reworks and new mechanics/interactions. 🎲✨

Patch Notes

General

Now it is possible to skip destroy die and forge die rewards/events.
Now it is possible to go back to previous screen when forging, duplicating or destroying a die on shop/events.
Now it is possible to go back to previous screen when on choose/change one of your current sentinels screen.

Balancing

Added a new mute system based on chapter where some dice and blessings won't appear on certain chapters. Dice and Blessings that appear only on certain chapters have a "C" letter with a number beside the name of the Blessing and beside the owner of the die, this represents in which chapter that Blessing or Die can appear. For instance, C1C2 means it can appear only on Tainted Reef or Astropolis Ruins. If there is no "C", it means it can appear in any chapter.
Now dice rewards won't ever have 3 Neutral dice at once.

Neutral

Buffed Perpetual Clock now it also draw 1 additional per turn.
Buffed Cryptic Memento, increased Max Overcorruption addition from 2 to 4.
Buffed Apprentice's Card Star Blessing, decreased from 8 to 6 Starter Die.
Buffed Zenith Ring, increased additional Purification from 2 to 4.
Buffed Dicesmith Helmet, decreased amount of dice in player dice pool to start increasing Purification from 30 to 25.
Multiverse Cube won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Arcanist's Orrery won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
New action Reroll Purify (Beta name): Whenever you reroll a die, a random enemy receive X Purification for each die rerolled.
Buffed Timeless, now it has the Timeless keyword on itself. Changed Timeless to apply 1 Light Shield to player instead of dealing 3 Purification. Removed Balanced Die. Buffed Safe Die values.
Buffed Reduction, now it deals 2 Purification to the owner of the die for each point of Corruption decreased on each die.
Buffed Invoke, increased Epic chance from 25% to 100%. Now it also draw 1 die.
Changed Calm to apply Light Shield to player instead of dealing Purification. Removed Balanced Die. Buffed Safe Die values.
Buffed Purify Safe Die, Balanced Die and Epic Die values. Purify dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Buffed Quick Strike Safe Die and Balanced Die values. Added Draw 1 to 1 die face on Safe Die.
Buffed Punch dice values. Added Draw 1 to 1 die face on Safe Die. Punch dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Buffed Meditate Safe Die and Balanced Die values. Added Draw 1 to 1 die face on Safe Die.

Forge Purify dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Changed Forge Area Purify to be a Neutral die instead of Cellarius die. Forge Area Purify dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Buffed Copycat Safe Die values.

Moonie

Balanced Haunted Chalk, it only works when the Enhanced die Purify value was a 1.
New action Forge Dissolve Life (Beta name): Change a die from your hand into Dissolve Life action for the rest of the run. Deal 10 Purification to all enemies for each Dissolve Life action in your dice pool.
Buffed Enhance, Ascend and Bright Enhancement, now it can be used in Purify actions of any value.
Buffed Crescent Beam, now it has the Timeless keyword on itself. Crescent Beam Risky Die won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Buffed Silver Snare, now if player change an enemy die, it also Refresh Virtues.
Buffed Selenic Domination, now if player change an enemy die, it also Draw 3 dice.
Buffed Amplify, increased Area Purify 6 to 10. Now it can be used on Purify 1 from any target.
Moonlight Wrath dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Full Moon Ray dice won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Buffed New Moon Ray dice values. Added Draw 1 to 2 die faces.
Buffed Owl-light Charge Safe Die values. Added Draw 1 to 1 die face.

Reworked Golden Tooth, now player gains 3 Apex Instinct if he plays 8 Virtues in the same turn.
Balanced Ancient Helm, now player gains 1 Empower instead of gaining 3 Empower and 3 Apex Instinct.
Reworked Trident of Depths Black Hole Blessing, now it increases Wave applied by 4 and decreases the Purification dealt by the player by 1.
Buffed Wave, now it triggers when Wave amount is at least equal enemy’s current Corruption (Like when player has Trident of Depths Black Hole Blessing).
Balanced Tidal Jet, now it applies 2 Wave and decreases Wave by 4. Increase additional Purification from 3 to 4.
Balanced Refreshing Headbutt, now it applies 3 Wave and decreases Wave by 6.
Balanced Geyser Uppercut, now it applies 3 Wave and decreases Wave by 6. Increased draw from 1 to 2 dice.
Nerfed Maelstrom Impact Risky Die values. Removed Balanced Die. Maelstrom Impact Risky Die won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Reworked Apex Instinct, now a random enemy receives X Purification whenever player plays a Virtue.
Buffed Reef Song, now it always increases Virtues Purification by 1 in addition to Empower.
Buffed Soothe Mind and Tonic Trance, now it deals Purification to all enemies for each point of Corruption decreased on each die.
Nerfed Forceful Stream, now enemies receive Purification equal half the amount of Wave they have instead of the full amount. Buffed Forceful Stream Safe Die values. Added Draw 1 to 2 die faces.
Eridanian Wrath Balanced and Risky Die won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Purging Anchor dice won't appear on Chapter 3 anymore.
Buffed Wave Crasher dice values. Wave Crasher Safe and Balanced Die won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.
Buffed Voracious Sense dice values.
Vortex Bubble dice won't appear on Chapter 1 anymore.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Madness Surge being affected by Electrostatic Field.
Fixed Madness Surge causing a softlock when it is copied by a Copycat action and the player has no Hex Die in his dice pool.
Fixed player being able to apply Electrostatic Field in multiple targets.
Fixed Corrupted Moonie converting a die second action to Corrupt + Cosmic Wisdom interaction.

Hey Oracles,

As I mentioned in this post from November 2023.

I (Leo) ended up getting sick and needed to work on Astrea post release updates slower to take care of my health. 🤒
Because of that, many bug reports ended up piling up. 😭
But I'm feeling better (not 100% though) and I decided to tackle a bunch of those bugs. 💪
So this patch is just a bunch of bug fixes! There are still more bugs to be fixed though, but they will be fixed eventually.

Other than that, we are working on the v1.2, our next Major Update and I hope to have more news to share about it soon.

Patch Notes

General

Now when creating a mod there is no need to add "+" to the die name of Balanced, Risky and Epic versions, the game will automatically do that using the "DieTier" field.

Bug Fixes

Fixed Champion and Mastery achievements not being unlocked after disabling mods if player reached Astrea's Heart and reached Max Level with mods enabled previously.
Fixed Create New Character Die mod not adding ""+"" to the die name internally on Balanced, Risky and Epic versions. This was making the dice appear normally on the compendium, but during the run, the dice with same name, but different tiers, would override each other.
Fixed softlock when Sands of Time triggers Cursed Prediction.
Fixed Apian Drone drawing die outside of player turn.
Fixed Outbreak VFX remaining on the battle forever if the Doom applied by Outbreak was denied by Protection.
Fixed Smoke Bomb not being stackable when it should. Smoke Bomb die was changed from 4 x Smoke Bomb, 2 x Corrupt 1 to 1 x Smoke Bomb 2, 3 x Smoke Bomb 1, 2 x Corrupt 1.
Fixed Deadly Oscillation Action changed by Defiant Alarm being affected by doom.
Fixed Atrocious Decimator and Collapsed Astrea not being affected by start of enemy turn and end of enemy turn effects (like Relief, Decay, etc).
Fixed Forged Auto Turret softlocking the game when the die with it was drawn.
Fixed Prediction Convergence softlocking when there is no die on dice pool or discard.
Fixed Bottled Aurora softlocking the game when player pressed Reroll Hand button with no die on his hand.
Fixed Anomaly Control and Anomaly Master achievements not being unlocked if player win a run on higher anomaly than the achievement requests.
Fixed Heart Fragment sometimes activating Hypersensitive Aura at the start of the battle when Devotion Orb is active.
Fixed Wave Bender achievement not being unlocked in a specific situation.
Fixed Reflexive Mind achievement being unlocked when player moved his orbs during battle if he already had unlocked The World Goes ’Round... achievement.
Fixed Spectral Harvester blinking even when it is not about to trigger.
Fixed Spectral Harvester softlocking when triggered with Shamanic Whispering or Dangerous Excavation with no die on Draw Pool.
Fixed Calm dealing 1 fewer Purification than it was supposed to deal.
Fixed Obscure not hiding Astrea Avatar Overcorruption Meter when she resurrects from her Collapsed Astrea state through Solar Rebirth.
Fixed Blighted Soul not hiding Astrea Avatar Corruption Meter when she resurrects from her Collapsed Astrea state through Solar Rebirth.
Fixed Obscure turning only half of the Overcorruption Meter black.
Fixed Blighted Soul turning only half of the Corruption Meter black.
Fixed Zenith Ring (and any other Blessing) blinking outside of battle.
Fixed Purification preview from dice like New Moon Ray, Bloody Moon Ray++, etc. outside of battle not working correctly.

Fixed Hourglass Mastery no triggering when player have no Sands of Time.

Fixed Inventive counting as two actions and making Anomaly 9 and Crimson Solstice tick twice.
Fixed playing a Copycat from Charged Pylon sentinel on a dice with forged faces making the Charged Pylon die stick with the forged faces forever.

It's a very clever dice/deck builder. It is rather complicated and every character, of which there are at least 5, has it's own unique dice and buffs and followers and blessings. It's a lot. But in a good way. Just don't be scared to stick with one for a few games if you're losing, there are some dice that are actively bad to pick up if you don't have the right build. But you won't always know what that build is supposed to be right away.

Help with Moonie

Basically what the title says, I've been playing the game a bit, unlocked all the characters up to the prince (top right) and I've cleared the game on everyone but Moonie. The bug and shark I cleared on my first run with them so they seemed to really do well with limited knowledge of their pool. The turret guy and the prince I cleared in 2 and 3 runs respectively. Sentinel Shops can charge you extra Star Shards

If you visit a Sentinel Shop that offers sentinels of at least level 2 while you don't have any sentinels yet, the first sentinel you purchase from the shop will subtract the proper amount of Star Shards, but when you buy a second one it will subtract Star Shards as if the sentinel was one level higher. This can make you end up with a negative amount of Star Shards....

When hovering over the Anomaly Level 10 icon to see its description, the "Ruins" in "Astropolis Ruins" is highlighted in yellow as if it was refering to the Ruin status.
