Crashes during Skirmish

I'm running this game on a Windows 8 Desktop, and while playing skirmishes, my computer randomly crashes and restarts with no warning, any ideas?

try out compatability mode for windows 7

When I do that, it straight up won't start.

I found the solution, I changed the graphics setting to Medium, which, after making my game flip out, had fixed the problem.
