I get to the screen where Vick illustrates swapping atoms and I can't progress past that by pressing space.

WHy do I have to wait a second before picking an atom? Level 3 - cant pick atom from chalk board

I have finished level 52 multiple times, yet the achievement does not pop up. I assume this is the last level as the game just sits there and does nothing. I have restarted the game and done it multiple times, yet no achievement. Thanks for any help in advance....
