Custom Map Help

I have some strange problem with the custom maps. When I download a map or generate a random map, everything seems fine. I can play it or edit it with no problem. But after I restart my computer, all custom maps I had before I restart my computer become unplayable.

Try play the map in game will take me back to map selection screen without give me any error message. Try load the map from map editor says the file may be corrupted, file version unsupported or I'm trying to load the map from outside the map folder.

I tried to save a backup map elsewhere, verify integrity of game files, reinstall the game. Nothing solved my problem. Plz help

Try installing the game on a non system drive and see what is going on.
Otherwise you most probably have issues with your OS.

I only have 1 drive...

Try launching the game as administrator (right click on the exe -> "Run as Administrator").

That still doesn't work.

I found out that after each restart some of my game files gone missing. it takes 2 to 3 "verify integrity of game file" to fix them. Then I can use the maps again.

When some files failed to validate after the first try, there's chance that it will not be able to complete the validate action again. The progress bar just stop at 0%. When this happens, I can't even restore backup files or redownload the game. It gives me a error message says missing game privileges.

I can only restart my computer and pray it don't bug after first validate.

Is there a place where I can get a nonsteam homm5 game with the steam game key?

I dont know about that but I think you have issues with your PC.
You either have a virus or the antivirus system mess with your game files.
