A few questions

Hello, after finishing the game I still have questions about some items: a) the souls...what is there purpose? b) the clock, there is no quest that must done at a specific time. c) the key you can buy for 20K...I didn't find a door that I could use it for...and in the new game+ it is gone so no use in the village or school???...
