Hi everyone, first credit to "Nosedog" who is the creator of this fix and who posted on the GoG forums.

It's a modified Direct Input DLL that will allow Rayman 2 to detect gamepads on modern versions of windows. Just stick the dll in the main game directory, i.e. :
<wherever you installed Steam>\steamapps\common\Rayman 2 - The Great Escape\

Unfortunately, controls can't be remapped (ah, the "joys" of N64 era ports). Using a 360 pad here's what I've found.

A - punch
B - jump
X - rotate camera left
Y - rotate camera right
LB or RT - recenter/lock camera
RB - show status

As far as I can tell no gamepad support for bringing up the menu (Esc) or to call the helper dude (F1).

At least this does at least give you full proportional analog control over Rayman, and for that reason I prefer it to using XPadder.
