The first time I played this, it worked just fine. Now when I start it up, all I get is a black screen. I can hear the music but only a black screen. WTF

not complaining but just got this and the tutorial froze on me. i think it was because i didn't do the right thing but i was surprised it let me do the wrong thing then froze because i did it. :-) anyway, i can't recall all the wording but it was toward the end and I had the Interceptor at HP 2 and a Boarding Ship threat and i thought it told me to change something into a tactician (?) and hit the Interceptor. I turned off the boss battles until I got a feel for the game. However, when I turned it back on, all I get is a black screen when I start a new game. So I turned it back off and I still get a black screen. This only happens with the Interfector.
