Says "missing executable" first, then game updates itself and gives "access denied" message.

So I've encountered some bugs, first, when your bro follows you around and is then going to sleep (at the end of Day 1 for example), he will still follow you around asleep. second, I picked up the rope in the home location, but it was just gone when I needed it at the bridge. How get the Mechanic tool? Hey guys- I was at every place more than one time. But never found the mechnic tool, which is needed to open one 'chest' at the bridge. So I cant egt forward anymore. Think thats also needed to get forward to the other part of the mine? Can anyone help me with please?...
